The larger development began as Trump Place under Donald Trump, who sold much of his stake to Hong Kong investors in the 1990s. Equity Residential acquired this tower and several neighboring buildings in 2005, then removed the Trump Place branding in 2016 following a resident petition and an agreement with the Trump Organization.
The brown brick exterior rises from a three story limestone base facing the river, with four shallow setbacks, numerous corner windows, and a windowless crown marked by vertical ridges. Many apartments have corner exposures and Hudson River views. Layouts commonly incorporate entry foyers, enclosed kitchens, and separate or angled dining areas, while central air conditioning and in-unit washer dryers are part of the residential program.
The building has a 24 hour concierge and doorman, a fitness center, lounge, spa, dog spa, children’s playroom, resident storage, shared laundry facilities, valet parking, and a 210 car garage; an on-site supermarket adds a retail amenity. Riverside Park South and the Hudson waterfront are directly west, while the 1, 2, and 3 trains stop at 72nd Street and Broadway. Lincoln Center is several blocks south.
