Originally designed by Martin V. B. Ferdon for brewing magnate James Everard, this imposing 12-story Romanesque Revival structure spent decades as a warehouse before becoming rental apartments in the 1970s. In 2014, Starwood Capital Group, led by Barry Sternlicht, acquired the building for $68.2 million and partnered with The Naftali Group to execute a meticulous conversion into 38 luxury condominiums, with architecture by Beyer Blinder Belle and interiors by the acclaimed Gachot Studios.

The building's conversion preserved its most striking architectural elements while introducing modern luxury. Barrel-vaulted ceilings throughout the apartments echo the West Village's carriage house heritage, complemented by oversized arched windows, solid oak herringbone floors, and triple-glazed windows.
