What a difference (just over) a year makes! When we visited The Chamberlain (269 West 87th Street) last January, the site had only been cleared for construction to begin. However, a more recent trip showed a nearly topped-out building and the beautiful façade going up. The vertical piers, light, intricate brickwork, and oversized casement windows are going in to create a contemporary tribute to its Art Deco neighbors as designed by FXCollaborative.

Current listings range from a $2.55 million two-bedroom, two-bath to a $12.375 million penthouse with five bedrooms, five and a half baths, and a private terrace. Interiors by Alexandra Champalimaud feature gracious entry galleries, spacious living rooms with oversized windows, custom kitchens with high-end appliances, and lavish marble master baths. Amenities will include a garden courtyard, fitness center, multi-purpose sports court, and children’s playroom.
