Dahlia: Centrally-Located Upper West Side Condo Tops Out Construction

For you true New Yorkers who couldn't imagine living anywhere near Midtown, and yearn for a community to unwind without sacrificing easy commutes, then the Upper West Side may be near the top of your list. While much of the neighborhood is staunchly protected by locals, seeking to prevent "overdevelopment," a few ground-up towers do slip in here and there.
A block from the 96th Street and Broadway express subway station, a rare new condo development called Dahlia has fully risen. The project is being developed by United Management in conjunction with Certes Partners. Upon completion in spring 2020, the project will deliver 38 two- to four-bedroom apartments that are expected to be priced from $1.695 million when sales launch later this year.

The team has wasted no time erecting the 20-floor superstructure. After breaking ground in May 2018, the crew celebrated the "topping out" earlier this month. Next to come will be the facade and interior build-out. CetraRuddy is the design architect and interior designer, RKTB is the architect of record and JRM is the construction manager of the project.

Details of the residences have yet to surface but paperwork submitted to the Department of Buildings shows there will be no more than three units per floor and several duplexes. High-floor units will have expansive views of the city and all residents will be able to enjoy a 5,100 square foot elevated park on the second floor. Other amenities listed include a bike room, storage, fitness center, lounge, package room, on-site parking, and a children’s playroom. Lastly, in addition to convenient transportation options, both Central Park and Riverside Park are within close proximity.
