The once notorious but now buzzing Myrtle Avenue in Clinton Hill recently debuted a brand new mixed-use building with nearly 150 rental apartments, called The Posthouse. The name for the 8-story building is a tribute to the post office that previously stood at the site until its demolition to make way for the new building.

Citi Habitats launched leasing at the property last year and several studio to three-bedroom units are listed advertising "free rent" - indicating a rental concession may be offers in lease terms; studios are from $2,270/month, 1-bedrooms from $2,480/month and 2-bedrooms are from $3,370/month.

Homes are designed by CL-OTH Interiors, a Bushwick-based design firm, and feature wide plank wood floors, large black casement windows and sleek finishes. Chef's kitchens have white cabinetry, dark Caesarstone countertops and stainless steel appliances. Bathrooms have a black and white color palette with classic tile patterns, modern lighting fixtures, large mirrors and vessel sinks. Other features include recessed lighting, zoned climate control, and private terraces on select units.

It has a fitness center, resident lounge, and a landscaped roof deck with grills and views of the city. There is on-site parking and the building also houses ground-floor retailers, which are yet to be announced. The location is near Pratt University and the lovely Clinton Hill historic district. HTO Architect designed the structure, and the property was developed by Madison Realty Capital. A housing lottery launched in December 2016 for the buildings dedicated affordable units, as 6sqft reported, and the building joins several other recently developed buildings along Myrtle Ave.
