Rental Building News and Offers

Prices start at $2,795/month Prices start at $2,795/month
With Target on it's way to the East Village, it's clear that the transformation of the once-gritty neighborhood has begun. And while rentals are still pricey (and always will be), they now have upscale finishes and amenities that include pools and pergolas. Check out our ranking of the top ten new or renovated East Village rentals below.
1. EVGB, 510 East 14th Street
(Beyer Blinder Belle Architects)
Kitchen/dining (Extell)
Roof Deck (Extell)
Extell's EVGB at 510 East 14th Street is the latest rental to hit the East Village. Leasing only just kicked off earlier this month and while apartments are pricy, we don't expect them to stay on the market for long, especially since free rent is being offered. Apartments feature white oak flooring, oversized windows, an in-unit washer/dryer, and a kitchen with Miele and Bosch appliances, wood and glass cabinets, and a breakfast bar (even in studios). The modern building boasts a 19,000-square-foot roof deck, complete with fire pits, pergolas, and lounging areas, and other amenities like a residents lounge, fitness center, and pool.
2. 2 Cooper Square
(GKV Architects)
Living Room (Rose Associates)
Outdoor Pool (Rose Associates)
2 Cooper Square was built about 8 years ago but still has the amenities of a luxury new development. Residents have access to a 24-hour attended lobby, fitness center, club lounge with arcade games, cinema room, and best of all, a landscaped roof deck with a swimming pool that offers those quintessential city views. Apartments vary from studios to three-bedrooms and feature oak wood floors throughout, Bosch washer and dryers, individually controlled heating / cooling systems, terraces in select residences, and large windows that show off views of Cooper Square, NoHo, Financial District, Greenwich Village, and more.
3. The Nathaniel, 138 East 12th Street

Game room/ lounge
The Nathaniel is another East Village rental with a pool, but since it's a reflecting one, it's not meant for swimming. Still, the building offers plenty in terms of luxury, including a courtyard, private gym, rooftop deck, the Nathaniel Club lounge, and a 24-hour attended lobby. Apartments feature white oak floors, an in-unit washer/dryer, modern baths, and kitchens with a paneled dishwasher, Liebherr refrigerator, custom high-gloss cabinetry with wenge wood details, and Caesarstone blizzard white counters.
4. Avalon Bowery Place, 11 East 1st Street
(Photos via Avalon Bay Communities)

Rooftop lounge
Built in 2007, Avalon Bowery Place still boasts enough amenities and apartment finishes to compete with newer developments. Amenities include a fitness center, lounge with billiards, free WiFi in common areas, covered parking, full-service valet, package acceptance services, a courtyard, and finally, a rooftop terrace with lounge seating, grills, outdoor heaters, a TV, a fire-pit, and a landscaped BBQ area with picnic tables. As for the apartments, you'll find kitchens with stainless steel appliances, an in-unit washer/dryer, floor to ceiling windows, and hardwood floors.
5. Arabella 101, 101 Avenue D
Living area (Douglas Elliman)
Roof Deck (Douglas Elliman)
Lucky residents of Arabella 101 will get to enjoy panoramic Manhattan skyline views – including One World Trade Center and the Empire State – as well as condo-like finishes.
