Lower Manhattan may be known for Wall Street and the Financial District - but it's also a great place to live. The commute to your downtown job could be reduced to minutes; you can shop and dine at Brookfield Place and Westfield World Trade Center; and you can live in historic icons like Woolworth Tower or inside starchitect-designed buildings like New York by Gehry.

Several large office buildings were constructed in the area during the 1960s and 1970s, but in recent decades many have been converted to residential use, including 90 Washington Street. The Moinian Group and CetraRuddy converted the 27-story building to rentals in 2003 and the property is now known as 90W. Currently, select listings offer 1 month free on a 13-month lease with prices ranging from $2,492 to $3,508 per month. See all the listings here.

The 90 Washington Street location is centered between Battery Park and and the World Trade Center, and it is adjacent to Battery Park City. A new condominium developed by Time Equities was recently erected next to 90W at 50 West Street where current listings start at $2.2 million. The Moinian Group manages another nearby rental building at 90 West Street where studio to two-bedroom rentals are listed from $2,220/month.
Homes at 90W come in studio to two-bedroom layouts and there are some penthouse residences available. Interiors feature oversized windows, 10-foot ceilings and custom-built closets. Gourmet kitchens have stainless steel appliances, maple cabinetry and granite countertops. Bathrooms have deco tiles, illuminated vanity mirrors and hexagonal tile flooring. Many apartments have great views of the Financial District and downtown, and the penthouses have private terraces.

The rental property has courteous staff with services including 24-hour concierge, valet, move-in assistance and the option of maid service. Amenities include a fitness center, a lounge with a wet bar and billiards, and a sundeck with close-up views of downtown's most iconic buildings. A unique feature is the travel and leisure assistance the building provides like event planning, customized city guides and personalized dining suggestions.
