Earlier this year, a former hotel just blocks away from Herald Square completed its transformation to a residential building and was reintroduced as the Murray Hill Marquis. Inside the 37-story tower are 260 luxury rentals in studio and one-bedroom layouts with entirely new interiors, and a collection of amenities including a fitness center and co-working space.

Murray Hill Marquis is on East 34th Street between Lexington and Third Avenue, not far from icons like the Empire State Building and Macy’s Herald Square. Select units at the new rental are currently listed with one month free; studios are priced from $2,725/month and one-bedrooms from $3,375/month.

The rentals have open floor plans ranging from 408 to 709 square feet with foyers, hardwood floors, large closets, and oversized windows to ensure plenty of natural light and beautiful city and river views. Kitchens come equipped with Caesarstone quartz countertops, custom cabinetry and new Whirlpool stainless steel appliances. All apartments have individually-controlled thermostats and are pre-wired for phone, cable, WiFi, and Verizon Fios.

The fully-equipped gym also has a yoga studio, and the co-working space is great for those who work from home. The building has a two-level attended lobby with a package room, on-site laundry facilities, and a pet-friendly policy. There is also a bike room, and a club lounge with game stations and a wet bar.

The tower was erected in 1987 and until recently, it was known as the Affinia Dumont Hotel. According to The Real Deal, the property was sold to the Lefrak Organization in early 2017 in a purchase nearing $120 million dollars.
