The building is part of a larger master plan by Marchetto Higgins Stieve known as University Place which will eventually include eight buildings, 1,000 residential units, and 120,000 square feet of retail, dining, entertainment and green space.

Developed by Hampshire Companies and Claremont Companies, RIVET is located off West Side Road at 23 University Place Boulevard, roughly 1/3 mile away from the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail station which offers connections to PATH and ferries. Homes range from 500 to 1,300 square fee and the leasing team is offering 1 month free on a 13-month lease and 2 months free on a 26-month lease. There are a variety of layouts to choose from with studios from $1,738/month, 1 bedrooms from $2,195/month and 2 bedrooms from $2,910/month. Greystar handles leasing.
The modern homes have 9’6” ceilings, vinyl flooring with a wood-look, and front-loading Electrolux washers and dryers. Contemporary kitchens have stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, subway tile backsplashes, white cabinetry, kitchen islands, and pendant lighting. Luxurious bathrooms offer porcelain tile floors, cultured marble vanity countertops, medicine cabinets, and baths and showers outfitted with white subway tile.
Building amenities include a cafe with wifi, Butterfly MX virtual entry and package delivery system, and car/bike parking. The fitness center has on-demand classes and a yoga studio, and the indoor lounge offers access to a 15,000-square-foot courtyard with a sundeck, lounge seating, gaming areas, and grilling stations.
