A tenement building at 239 Elizabeth Street in Nolita/Little Italy recently had several units renovated by its new owner, Icon Realty Management, and they currently list a pair of two-bedroom units priced at $4,714/month each - inclusive of up to two months free. Icon is offering new direct-client renters the first two months free with a 14-18 month lease or if you're working with a broker, one month free and one month OP. Listings are no fee.

The available units are #4 and #5 and each has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The gut renovation transformed the more than 100-year-old residences into modern apartments with classic touches like full exposed brick walls and plank hardwood floors.

239 Elizabeth Street was reportedly once home to notable public figures including singer Debbie Harry and actor Robert DeNiro. Harry, along with a grassroots campaign led by a current resident of the building, submitted a recommendation to the city to landmark the building which ultimately was denied by the Landmarks Preservation Commission.

Homes might look a bit different than previous residents remember. The upgrades have added new windows, recessed lighting, and classic crown and baseboard moldings. The most convenient new feature are the in-unit Bosch washer/dryer.

Functional, contemporary kitchens have marble countertops, white tile-backsplashes, cherrywood cabinetry, and stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher and microwave. Bathrooms are luxurious with intricate tiling and glass showers.

The property is located between Prince Street and East Houston Street in a sought after neighborhood with a growing presence of high-end residential buildings, upscale restaurants and expensive designer boutiques. The neighborhood is great for nightlight and for exploring the city. In the immediate area are places like the Tenement Museum, Bowery Ballroom, New Museum and Rockwood Music Hall.

Transit in the area is a breeze. Walking is the best way to get around the neighborhood but there are several subway lines just a couple blocks away. Read more about 239 Elizabeth Street here.
