Closet space might be at a premium in the city, but there's plenty of help for the seriously organized.

There's no shortage of business for the well-known army of consultants at California Closets. They'll tackle any storage job you can throw their way, from walk-ins to mud-rooms, and you can sample their solutions at local showrooms. But getting recognition recently are small, personal-touch services like local favorite Clos-ette, a luxury closet organization service that offers "Holistic Organizational Design." Clos-ette specializes in long-term maintenance: After doing a big overhaul, they'll return to organize your wardrobe by color, season, and occasion. They've even put together a book to get you inspired.

For hard-core closet commandos, there's a service that will truly keep the dirty work out of sight. Garde Robe will store and organize your entire wardrobe. Designed to appeal to "business travelers and globetrotters, multiple home owners, and fashion designers," they'll take a photo of each item and add it to their Cyber Closet. Then, you can go online, view the troops, request your stuff—and have it appear at your door—whenever the mood hits.
