The Cereza is a 13-story, 52-unit condominium situated at 1790 Third Avenue between East 99th and East 100th streets, where East Harlem meets the Upper East Side. The building’s street-facing floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the Cherry Tree Park, named both after its cherry trees and the famous folk story regarding President George Washington, notable since the park sits next to the George Washington Houses. The building borrows its name from the park and translates it into Spanish (“cereza” means “cherry”), as a nod to the neighborhood’s Latino legacy.
