In Carnegie Hill at the intersection of East 96th Street and Third Avenue is one of the most recognizable buildings on the Upper East Side - The Monterey.

The 32-story building at 175 East 96th Street was erected in 1992 and is one of Manhattan's few buildings with a major façade curve, designed by prominent New York-based architect Costas Kondylis.

The building's no-fee luxury rentals come in studio to three-bedroom layouts with upscale finishes, and current listings offer one month free on a 13-month lease. Availabilities include studios priced from $2,861/month, one-bedrooms from $3,415/month and two-bedrooms from $4,473/month.

The units have hardwood floors, large closets and gourmet kitchens. Oversized windows let in plenty of light and come equipped with custom blinds for privacy. Many of the layouts are flexible and some have formal alcove dining areas.

Resident amenities are plentiful, and the building's most luxurious are the health club and pool. The new state-of-the-art fitness center has a cycling room, yoga studio and sauna. The heated indoor pool is a perfect place to diversify your workout with laps or water aerobics.

The building's bright and airy lobby has a full-time doorman, 24-hour concierge and valet services, and there is also on-site parking. Other amenities include a rooftop sun terrace, a lounge, bike storage, and a business center.

Building management prioritizes resident satisfaction and offers several customer service features through an online portal, including package tracking, amenity reservations, permission-to-enter instructions, and special offers for residents.
