The Jersey City waterfront has some of the best views of Manhattan's skyline, and from 41 stories in the air, they're even better.

The Gold Coast's newest skyscraping rental, The Ellipse, has officially launched leasing and its future residents will soon be able to start and end their day with globally iconic views of the largest city in the United States. The 41-story, 381-unit rental has a distinct elliptical shape that provides every single unit with, at minimum, dramatic water views. It caters to all type of renters, from singles to large families, offering studio layouts to a limited collection of 4-bedroom penthouses. Pricing was initially revealed earlier this year for studio to 3-bedroom units, but more details have emerged with the formal launch of the property. Studios start from $2,698/month, 1 bedrooms from $3,405/month, 2 bedrooms from $4,799/month and 3 bedrooms from $5,398/month. The limited collection of 3- and 4-bedroom penthouses have up to 2,300 square feet and are priced between $5,721 and $8,780 per month. While several newly launched Jersey City buildings have debuted with rental concessions, don't expect them here. According to the building's leasing team in a phone call today, there are no leasing incentives currently offered.

Ellipse is a project from LeFrak, the real estate development firm that spearheaded the building's surrounding 600-acre Newport district over 30 years ago, which is currently the largest mixed-use community in the United States.

Arquitectonica designed the building and also its interiors. Apartments have floor-to-ceiling windows, oak plank hardwood floors, two-tone kitchen cabinetry with stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops, and abundant closet space (some units have walk-ins). All units are equipped with washers/dryers, multi-room climate control, and are prewired for phone, cable, Wi-Fi, and Fios services. Many units also have private glass balconies. The impressive 24,000 square feet of amenities includes an expansive outdoor pool and terrace with a barbecue area and fire pit offering views of lower Manhattan, New York Harbor, and beyond. The fitness center faces east and has inspiring skyline views. Other highlights include Ellipse's two-level attended lobby, co-working space, a resident lounge & game room, and also a children's playroom.
