Cornerstone, its charcoal façade is composed as a broad stack of offset volumes connected by glass skybridges and shaped by cantilevers.
The building occupies most of the block between West 56th and West 57th streets, from Eleventh Avenue toward the West Side Highway. Interiors are by the Rockwell Group, and the landscaped courtyard faces a 28,000 square foot mural by Karlssonwilker on the adjoining sanitation facility.
Apartments range from studios to three bedroom layouts. Many have open or windowed kitchens, floor-to-ceiling windows, in-unit laundry, and corner living areas; Hudson River, Midtown, Hudson Yards, and courtyard exposures recur across the building. Private terraces appear in multiple layouts, including full width outdoor space, while some larger homes use butterfly plans or incorporate alcoves for dining or a home office.
The roughly 50,000 square foot amenity program centers on a double-height fitness center with a broad social staircase. It also encompasses several roof decks, a full basketball court, screening room, resident lounge, game room, children’s playroom, courtyard, bike room, pet services, and a 400 car garage. The Max has a 24 hour doorman, central air, and a pet friendly, smoke free policy; Via 57 West is directly across West 57th Street.
