From October 7-13, 2025, over 300 for-sale units in core New York City areas experienced price reductions, including a number of listings in new development condos. Shortly after its screen-famous penthouse had its price reduced, two resale units at 200 Amsterdam experienced price cuts. The sellers could still make a profit at these adjusted prices, but not if they go much lower. Multiple price cuts also took place at new developments like The Solaire in Battery Park City, 503 Clinton Avenue in Clinton Hill, and 569 Saint Marks Avenue in Crown Heights.

In NoMad, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' extensive purchases at office turned boutique condominium 212 Fifth Avenue remain Downtown Manhattan's most expensive sale. The penthouse and three units directly under it were recorded as separate purchases, but came to over $96 million.

A few floors down, Residence #17A offers beautifully designed rooms and views of Madison Square Park. Less than eight years after buying it from the sponsor for $15.65 million, the seller listed it for $24.5 million in February 2025. However. its most recent price reduction brings it down to just under $18 million.

Also of interest, the Neo-Grec townhouse at 169 East 94th Street had its price reduced. It was the New York home of abstract impressionist artist Paul Jenkins, whose friendships with artists like Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, and Willem de Kooning inspired his own work. His paintings are included in the collections of the Guggenheim Museum (which is not far from the house), the Whitney Museum, the Tate, and Centre Pompidou, among many others.

Several of Mr. Jenkins' prints and drawings may be seen throughout the house, and the buyer can choose to keep them or donate them to the Paul and Suzanne Jenkins Foundation. The house was listed for $5.25 million in May 2025, but the price reduction brings it down to $4.75 million.
