The new "community-forward" rental building in Greenpoint known as Otto has several apartments available in studio to two-bedroom layouts and listings offer 3 months free on an 18-month lease. The newly constructed building at 211 McGuinness Boulevard opened earlier this year and Citi Habitats handles leasing. Listings show studios from $2,313/month, one-bedrooms from $2,825/month and two-bedrooms from $4,458/month.

Developed by Stellar Management with a design by Gene Kaufman and Associates, the block-long Otto rises to 8 floors with 197 rental homes. The McGuinness Boulevard location is between Greenpoint Avenue and Calyer Street and transit options include the nearby G train, the ferry at India Street, Citi Bike and numerous bus lines. Residents at Otto also have exclusive access to a private shuttle bus to Court Square in Long Island City where there are even more subway lines.

The modern homes feature LATCH keyless and have open floor plans which are great for creating unique layouts. There are floor-to-ceiling windows, solid reclaimed oak floors throughout, and most units have a private balcony or terrace. Kitchens boast custom cabinetry and waterfall Caesarstone countertops; bathrooms have custom floating vanities and deep soaking tubs; Miele washers and dryers are in every unit.

Fifty percent of units are reserved for residents of Brooklyn Community Board 1 and the deadline to apply is March 6, 2019.

The full-service building has front desk concierge and 19,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities. There is co-working space, a library, a penthouse fitness center, and a ground level patio and garden. The expansive roof deck has a pool, hot tubs, grills, a lawn and outdoor TV, and 360-degree views of New York City. The mixed-use building has ground-floor retail and twenty percent of rental units are reserved for affordable housing.
