House 39 is a sleek 36-story rental apartment tower in Murray Hill, erected in 2017 by Fisher Brothers. The building comprises 373 apartments, 75 of which are designated as affordable housing. Designed by Handel Associates with interiors by The Rockwell Group, the building stands out with its reflective south end and seemingly random vertical façade strips. Broker & Resident Comments

This "modern" Midtown East tower near Grand Central wins fans with its "amazing and very professional staff" who are "friendly and dedicated," plus "rare" amenities including an "indoor/outdoor pool" that "not many apartments in Manhattan have," in-unit washer/dryer, and "great views" of the Empire State Building and "360 from rooftop"; residents praise the "clean and secure building" in a "beautiful quiet area" with "best transportation" access, though some note "thin walls" mean you'll "hear everything" if neighbors talk loudly, while persistent "smell of marijuana" throughout the building remains an unresolved issue that "management allows to continue" despite "countless" complaints; still, most find it a "luxury" experience where they "feel safe and relax," with "quick & effective maintenance" and "convenient" club lounges making it "highly recommend[ed]" despite the "rather hefty price."
