The vacancy rate in Manhattan reached 3.67 percent in June, which The Real Deal notes is a 14-year high, but the plunge in new leases seen earlier this spring has begun to level off. While New York City has been able to resume in-person real estate showings in Phase 2 of the reopening process, it remains to be seen how the new safety measures, not to mention the economic effects of the pandemic, will affect the rental market.
