To combat the spread of the delta variant, Mayor de Blasio signed an executive order requiring New Yorkers 12 and older to show vaccination status to enter indoor venues like fitness centers, indoor restaurants and bars, movie theaters, performance venues, and indoor recreation centers. Ths order did not list spas, but several throughout New York have introduced their own safety protocols, mask requirements, and vaccination requirements for clients and staff alike.

However, residents of luxury condos throughout New York need not leave home for a day of wellness. Once the domain of the most exclusive spas, offerings like hot tubs, infrared saunas, and “water lounges” have made their way into residential buildings’ amenity packages.
