Overview of 130 William Street

Sir David Adjaye, the award-winning architect behind the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture and named one of TIME's 100 Most Influential People in 2017, designed 130 William in collaboration with Hill West Architects. Developed by the Lightstone Group, the 66-story tower rises approximately 800 feet above the Financial District with a distinctive handcast concrete façade featuring textured panels and dramatic oversized arched windows that create a saw-toothed profile. Completed in 2020, the building contains 244 condominium apartments ranging from one to four bedrooms, with special unit types including loggia residences with expansive outdoor terraces, double-height living spaces with ceilings approaching 19 feet, and duplexes connected by custom spiral staircases.

Interiors showcase materials sourced from around the world, with wide plank white oak flooring and custom oil rubbed bronze fixtures designed by Adjaye throughout. Open kitchens feature custom Pedini Italian textured blackened oak cabinetry, Salvatori Pietra Cardosa marble countertops and backsplashes hand selected from the Apuan Alps in Tuscany, and Gaggenau, Bosch, and Thermador appliances including wine storage. Primary bathrooms are appointed with Italian Bianco Carrara marble, custom double vanities, six-foot carved stone soaking tubs, oversized showers, and radiant heated floors. Most residences have 10-foot ceilings, while premium units on upper floors feature the building's signature bottom arched windows that are twice the width of traditional top arched windows below.

The building offers over 20,000 square feet of amenities, including an infinity edge spa pool with a rounded arch colonnade, hot and cold plunge pools, sauna, massage rooms, and a state-of-the-art fitness center with an outdoor terrace and yoga studio. Recreational facilities include a basketball court, golf simulator, and the only private IMAX theater in New York City. A rooftop observation deck nearly 800 feet in the air features grilling and dining areas, lounges, and private cabanas with panoramic views spanning from river to river. Additional services include full time doorman and concierge, indoor and outdoor lounges with a chef's catering kitchen and private dining room, a children's activity center, pet spa, and bicycle storage. The Financial District location provides access to the 2, 3, 4, 5, R, and W subway lines two blocks away, with the South Street Seaport, numerous dining options, and cultural venues within walking distance.
