Description

Warren & Wetmore, the architecture firm of the Grand Central Terminal fame, designed the Renaissance-styled, limestone-clad palazzo at 927 Park Avenue. Many of the palatial apartments span the entire floor and feature private elevator landings and multiple fireplaces. The sizable roster of past celebrity owners includes musician Kenneth Cole and actress/director Mary Tyler Moore, yet the building’s most famous resident may be Pale Male, a red-tailed hawk that nests upon the building façade.

"One of the finest and most exclusive limestone-clad apartment houses on Fifth Avenue, this small but extremely elegant building at 927 Fifth Avenue on the southeast corner at 74th Street was designed by Warren & Wetmore, the main architects of Grand Central Terminal.
