As of this writing, the March Madness college basketball tournament is in its early days. The men's First Round kicks off on March 20. The closest New York City has to local teams this year are Yale, UConn, and St. John's, but the city attracts transplants from all over the country who remain loyal to their alma maters when filling out their brackets.

On the women's side, the First Round games begin on March 21. After last year, when Iowa Hawkeye turned Indiana Fever player Caitlin Clark took the sports world by storm, Bloomberg observes that this year's women's tournament is the most lucrative ever.
A Staten Island pub claims to be the birthplace of the March Madness bracket, and there is no shortage of sports bars throughout the boroughs for enjoying the games. Some may even be inspired to hit the court, but New York’s forecast calls for chilly weather this weekend and into next week.

However, some lucky New Yorkers are well positioned to get in the game: Condos and rentals all over the city count indoor basketball courts among their amenities. And for those who'd rather watch than play, the extensive amenity packages also include lounges with big-screen TVs.

When March Madness is over, there will be something else to look forward to in New York: the sales relaunch of the condos on the uppermost levels of the tallest tower in Brooklyn later this spring. Rental leasing is in full swing, though, and all residents will have access to the building's amenities when these are complete.

A 66th-story basketball court offers the atmosphere of playing in the sky, and this level is also home to pickleball and padel courts, a children's playground, and what's been described as "the world's highest dog run." Those who'd rather watch the games than play will have their choice of lounges throughout the building.
